(English) Involuntary Forest Steeplechase

This year's winter is particularly remorseless all over Europe and I'm sure you have heard of some of the fatal consequences.

Another bizarre consequence it had on my region in Austria is that the masses of snow some weeks ago uprooted countless trees (besides causing other havoc), as, for example in the forest where go for a quick run on occasion:

Literally dozens of trees like these now obstruct the paths where I usually go for comfy jog.

I made a virtue out of necessity and transformed my last few forest runs into steeplechases, climbing over or crawling under any logs in my way.

Great way to push your condition with new training impulses.

Plus, it gives you that back-to-nature feeling we all love about outdoor workouts.


PS: Don't forget to warm up properly at these temperatures.
